Situated in downtown Triberg in the famous Black Forest Region of
Germany. The Black Forest is an area of over 2,300 square miles of
mountains and hills covered by pine and fir trees which gives the
appearance of the forest being black. The Black Forest is in the Southwestern
part of Germany and the Rhine River is the natural border separating
Germany from both France and Switzerland. Triberg is famous for more
than Cuckoo Clocks and Black Forest Ham and Cake. Our city built the
first European railway in 1873 and built the first electric street
lights in 1884. Triberg is also home to Germany’s tallest waterfalls.
